Hector Catá was born in Havana, Cuba April 3rd. He graduated from the prestigious School of Fine Arts of San Alejandro in 1972. Catá is an internationally known artist that has participated in numerous expositions. His artwork can be found in many private collections around the world in over 25 countries and in four continents.
He is the recipient of many first prize awards and recognitions in the United States and throughout the world. He has received Proclamation of Hector Catá Day by the City of Miami and the City of Coral Gables among others.
Hector Catá is a versatile and faceted artist. He helps us feel with his canvas, art that is defying and reprieved, exuberant and elementary that clearly shows his mastery in the intimacy characterized by his art.
